Watch
Our approach to banking-side watch
What we read, why, and how often.
Bank circulars and supervisory letters first.
We read what banks are publishing on themselves and what regulators are publishing on banks. Capital, liquidity, exposure, compliance commentary. Most clients never read these. They tell you a great deal about which institution is healthy this quarter and which is not.
Counterparty and corridor watch.
We watch the corridors banks pass payments through. When a corresponding bank tightens, the smaller bank using it can lose access to the corridor, and that takes time to surface in member-facing service quality. We catch the upstream signal.
What clients get.
Cover and Standing clients get a brief on banking-side movements that affect their institutions. Cover and above get same-day notes if anything moves materially. Most weeks, nothing moves materially.
