Real estate registry leakage, plain language

How your home address ends up on the public record without you putting it there.

Most countries make it public.

Property ownership records are public in most major jurisdictions. The UK has Land Registry. The US has county recorders. Singapore has SLA. The level of detail varies. Some are name and address, some are name and address and purchase price, some include more.

The link to you.

If you bought under your own name, that link is public. If you bought under a company, the company is public, and tracing the company to you is public-record work, sometimes one filing, sometimes a chain. If you bought under a trust, the trust may not be public, but the trustees often are.

What we do.

We map the registry residue on your file at onboarding. We tell you what's public and what isn't. We do not advise on whether to restructure. That's a counsel question. We do tell you what would change in the public record if you did, so the conversation with your counsel is sharper.
