When not to add a Residence Check

We don't always recommend the module.

If your residence is rented and short-term.

If you're in a serviced apartment for three months while between homes, the residence check isn't worth the spend. The systems aren't yours, the network isn't yours, and you'll be gone before remediation is meaningful.

If your IT staff already do this.

If you have a household IT person or a managed-service contract that already covers IoT and connected devices, we are unlikely to add value. We'll happily review their work if you want a second eye, but that's a different conversation.

When it does help.

Long-term residences. New residences after a move. Residences shared with a family that includes children with their own connected devices. Residences with a high IoT density.
