Why we extend coverage to family
A note on why family is part of the watch on Cover and Standing.
An attacker doesn't always come at you directly.
If the goal is to reach you, the path of least resistance is often someone close to you. Spouse. Adult child. Assistant. The household. We see this constantly. The attempt that compromises a client usually starts on someone who isn't them.
Coverage extends naturally.
Cover clients get spouse and dependent children added at no extra cost. Standing extends to household staff and named long-stay visitors. Same data broker watch, same breach surveillance, same look-alike domain alerting.
We don't extend without permission.
Family clients are added with their knowledge and consent. We don't surveil people without telling them. We make sure the spouse, in particular, knows what we're watching and why.
