Yacht and aircraft registry leakage, what is on the record

What public registries say about you when you own a yacht or aircraft.

Aircraft is unusually public.

FAA registry is public and full. UK CAA shows registration. Bermuda BDA shows registration. Cayman is similar. The level of detail typically includes the registered owner, sometimes a trustee, the aircraft type, and the home airfield. Tail number searches are trivial.

Yacht is more variable.

Flag registries vary. Cayman shows registered owner. Malta shows operator. Marshall Islands is owner-friendly but partial records leak through port calls. Marine traffic data, which is public, shows position history. The combined picture from registry plus traffic is often more identifying than the owner expects.

What we watch.

If the file includes a yacht or aircraft, we watch the registry layer at onboarding for residue and we map the port-call or flight-history pattern. We do not advise on structuring. We tell you what is visible on the public record.
